Michigan is a great state if you love kayaking, as it offers so many options for paddling, including the Cut River, Seney National Wildlife Refuge--where you often see bald eagles--and Lake Michigan, just to name a few. Thanks to the state's abundance of kayaking venues, you'll also find several kayak clubs in Michigan ready to offer you support and companionship. - As stated on its website, the West Michigan Coastal Kayakers Association dedicates itself to "safe, fun, invigorating sea kayaking on the Great Lakes." The club fulfills this mission by offering educational clinics, recreational events and safe-kayaking training. The cost of club membership in 2010 was $15 for an individual membership and $20 for a family.
