How to Build a Cover Inlay Picture Frame
- 1). Measure the picture frame adding 3/4 inch to the measurement on the left and right. Mark various fun foam pieces and cut 2 pieces to fit the frame's dimensions.
- 2). Take one foam piece and 1 ? inches in from each edge cut the main photo window. Mark 1/8 inches inside the 4 edges of the main window on another foam piece to make the border piece. Glue cutouts at each corner of the photo window.
- 3). Spread glue on the second panel without getting glue on the border area. Align the front and back evenly and press together. Leave the bottom edge open for the picture frame. Before the glue dries, put more shaped cutouts in the area to create the inset.
- 4). Embellish the cover inlay photo frame with decorative elements, such as cords and beads. Arrange the items so that the cover inlay can rest over the picture frame.
- 5). Insert the picture into the frame. When the glue dries on the cover inlay place it over the picture frame.
