How to Use Media Player With My iPod
- 1). Connect the USB cable from the port on the edge of the iPod to any unused port on the computer.
- 2). Open Windows Media Player by clicking the "Start" or Microsoft Flag button in the lower left corner of the computer screen, depending on which version of Windows is installed. Click "All Programs" and double-click Windows Media Player on the list.
- 3). Click the "Sync" tab in the top right corner of Media Player, which should recognize the connected iPod. If not, close and reopen the software by clicking the "X" in the upper right corner, then double-clicking the program name once more.
- 4). Click the Library folder on the left side of the screen to browse files for copying to the iPod. Video and audio files can be transferred to the iPod, depending on the model (not all iPods have viewing screens for video content).
- 5). Click and hold the left mouse button on files for uploading, then drag them to the Sync list on the right side of the screen. Click and hold the "Control" (Ctrl) key while clicking on files with the mouse to select multiple files that can all be dragged at once.
- 6). Click the "Start Sync" button at the top of the Media Player screen to transfer files to the iPod.
