The GM card is a no annual fee Visa credit card. The cardholder earns 3 percent in GM card earnings on eligible purchases made with the card. Earnings can be accumulated and applied to the total purchase price or lease down payment of any eligible new car, crossover, truck or SUV from Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, GMC, Hummer, and Cadillac. There is no limit to the amount of GM earnings a cardholder can earn. - Every purchase made using the GM Card qualifies for 3 percent of the net purchase amount applied to your GM earnings. Pay bills, buy groceries or anything you would like, with your GM card. All purchases qualify for the 3 percent earnings. The amount of earnings accumulated is listed on your monthly billing statement. Cash advances (including balance transfers, TD Visa cheques and cash-like transactions) and ATM withdrawals and certain other non-product/service transactions are excluded.
- The redemption allowances range from $700 to $3,500, depending upon the vehicle. View the redemption allowances list, which includes the eligible models along with the amount of earnings allowable toward the down payment on the vehicle. Not only can you use your GM card earnings toward your vehicle purchase, you can also take advantage of virtually all other GM bonuses, promotions or offers by combining them with your earnings. View GMs current offers to see if your vehicle of choice is eligible for additional discounts or rebates.
- Visit your local GM Dealer and negotiate your best price. Inquire about any additional promotions and offers. For example, if you are a college student or a recent grad, you can qualify for up to a $750 discount. Before signing the sale or lease contract, inform the dealer that you would like to redeem GM card earnings. The dealer will confirm your total amount of eligible earnings.
