How to Edit MDI Files

    • 1). Install Microsoft Office Document Imaging if you do now have it installed. Insert your Microsoft Office CD-ROM and wait until the installer auto runs. Click "Add or Remove Features" and click "Next." Locate "Microsoft Office Document Imaging" under "Office Tools." Right-click "Microsoft Office Document Imaging" and click "Run all from My Computer." Click "Update" to finish installation.

    • 2). Locate your MDI file on your hard drive and double-click it. It will open in Microsoft Office Document Imaging.

    • 3). Edit your file as needed, and then save. If you want the image to be access without the need for Microsoft Office Document Imaging, click "File" and then "Save As" and choose "TIFF" from the "File Type" drop-down menu.
