Facebook Makes Changes In Messenger App

Facebook Inc has decided to make positive changes in the messenger app of the company, according to a recent press release. At the time when the companys CEO was about to announce the companys earnings for the 2nd quarter of 2014, many questions regarding upcoming developments in the messenger app were raised and Mark Zuckerberg was observed to have answered that it is expected that in a period of time the Messenger app of the social networking site with a has a payment method attached to it too.

It was recently disclosed that now the social networking company has decided to work on it and it was recently announced that the Facebook Messenger app will now be enabled with a payment system through which the users will be able to make payments on a digital platform. These payments will either be paid by a credit card or a debit card. During the whole process, the social media agency will be in possession of the money being transferred for mere seconds and after that this money will be transferred to whoever they are sent to.

Previously, a service similar to this was launched by Snapchat in which people were allowed to pay their bills or transfer money to loved ones through another company that the company partnered with. As for the service that Facebook has launched, things are different as the networking company has not partnered with any other company and the money transfer will solely be done through the company.

This new service will not only make things easy for the consumers, but it will also prove cheaper for them. On the other hand, this new venture of the company is also expected to raise new opportunities for the company in the future.

All the information that the company receives of the transaction carried out through the messenger will be saved in the firms database.

Facebook is expected to cater to a huge number of audiences with this new service in the Messenger app. According to the recently released data regarding the apps userbase, it was disclosed that currently over 500 million users are using the app and with a new version of the app being upgraded for the desktop, the rest of the 867 million users of the FB app will also be invited to use this new service.

This new service on the Messenger app owned by Facebook has not only proved to be more convenient for the people but it has also made it easy for them to carry out their money transactions on an app that they are already using.
