Erica Jacques

I have always had a passion for teaching my patients to cope with their pain. Chronic pain is a particularly misunderstood condition as it has few visible symptoms. I know from personal experience, however, that chronic pain is very real, and can be extremely debilitating.
After a traffic accident in 1998, I developed chronic lower back pain that remains with me to this day. It affects what I do every day of my life, and has given me tremendous insight into what many of my patients are also going through. Having been there myself, I am better able to understand chronic pain's affect on a person's life. It is one of the most personal disorders I have encountered.
My commitment to my patients and my readers is to provide as much user-friendly information as possible about chronic pain conditions and treatments from the perspective of both a therapist and a peer.
