How to Fix a Leaking Dishwasher at the Bottom Door

    • 1). Turn off the power to the dishwasher by turning off the appropriate breaker in your fuse box.

    • 2). Open the dishwasher door, then remove the screws on the edge of the inside of the dishwasher door to release the outer door panel.

    • 3). Close the dishwasher door, then remove the outer door panel.

    • 4). Open the door once again, then pull the lower dish rack out of the dishwasher.

    • 5). Remove the old door wiper gasket from the gap between the bottom of the dishwasher door and the dishwasher door jamb.

    • 6). Slide the new door wiper gasket into the gap with the lip facing down.

    • 7). Close the door and look at the bottom to ensure that the gasket is inserted straight.

    • 8). Replace the door panel cover, then secure it using the screws that you removed earlier.

    • 9). Close the dishwasher door, then restore power to complete the installation.
