Hi, I'm Holly Silva, and I've been a crafts expert for 15 years, and today I'm going to show you how to make tree decoration crafts. So here I have an artificial flower. Why is it an artificial flower and not a real flower, well simply because this flower will never die and it will always stay pretty as long as it stays out of the sun and you know, you take care of it. So I'm going to take this artificial flower and some really pretty ribbon and of course you're going to choose the flower based on, well, a couple of things. Number one, what type of flowers you like, number two maybe your environment, what type of tree are you decorating, the size, all these different things. Ribbon goes for the same. So what we're going to do is wrap this ribbon around the base of the flower because we're just going to make it pretty. Who doesn't like ribbons, especially satin ribbons like this one? So make a pretty little bow on it like so. Alright now what we're going to do is make sure that this bow hangs because if it doesn't hang you are not going to see it as well from the tree. So make it a nice long, see so it should look like this okay? Alright so now we're going to take our craft wire and just grab maybe about like a five or since inch piece and wrap this craft wire behind the bow so as to secure the bow so it won't be slipping off of the stem of the artificial flower and if you need to you can also use the craft wire to kind of jimmy the ribbon to make sure that it stays in the proper spot. That's why you see so many craft ribbons with wires in them so you can manipulate them and they will maintain their pretty shape. So now that we have this wrapped around the base, we just want to do it a few times and then we're going to take the slack end and twist it around the longer edge, or the longer end rather and just twist like so and then, pull up your craft wire, make a loop and it's ready to hang on your tree. Now you can cut this end off if you want and you can make it longer. Actually this is great if you really want to stabilize it and it allows you for more direction. If you really want to be specific and you know, precise on how you are decorating the tree. But that is how you make your tree decoration. See you next time.
