    Dishwasher Does Not Turn On

    • 1). Check the home's circuit breaker for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit.

    • 2). Unlock the control panel by pressing and holding the "Heat Dry" button for three seconds. The padlock light on the control panel's digital display will turn off when the dishwasher's controls are unlocked.

    • 3). Unplug the dishwasher, or turn its circuit breaker off, for at least 30 seconds, then restore the power to reboot the dishwasher's computer system.

    Dishes Will Not Dry

    • 1). Ensure that the water supply is at least 120 degrees F before turning the dishwasher on. Turn on the hot water faucet closest to the dishwasher, then hold a meat or candy thermometer underneath the running water to monitor the water temperature. Consider raising the water temperature on the hot water heater if the water does not reach the proper temperature.

    • 2). Select the "Heated Dry" option on the control panel.

    • 3). Select either the "Anti-bacteria," "Pots and Pans," "Heavy Wash" or "Sani Wash" cycle on the control panel if the problem persists.

    • 4). Fill the rinse agent dispenser if it is empty. GE recommends using Jet-Dry or Cascade Crystal Clear rinse agents.

    Dishes Are Not Clean

    • 1). Ensure that the water supply is at least 120 degrees F before turning the dishwasher on. Turn on the hot water faucet closest to the dishwasher, then hold a meat or candy thermometer underneath the running water to monitor the water temperature. Consider raising the water temperature on the hot water heater if the water does not reach the proper temperature.

    • 2). Turn on a faucet and note whether the water pressure is abnormally low. Turn off any items currently using water, such as a sprinkler system, clothes washer or shower, or wait for the water pressure to return to normal before turning the dishwasher on.

    • 3). Ensure that no dishes are obstructing either the wash arms or the detergent dispenser before using the dishwasher.

    Glasses and Flatware Are Spotted

    • 1). Ensure that the rinse agent reservoir is full. GE recommends using Jet-Dry or Cascade Crystal Clear rinse agents.

    • 2). Ensure that the water supply is at least 120 degrees F before turning the dishwasher on. Turn on the hot water faucet closest to the dishwasher, then hold a meat or candy thermometer underneath the running water to monitor the water temperature.

    • 3). Raise the water temperature on the hot water heater if the water does not reach the proper temperature.
