How to Send a Gift for a New Baby Girl
- 1). Ask the baby's parents if they have a baby registry. Many parents make a baby registry for the baby shower several weeks before the birth. Any items not purchased for the shower are likely things the baby still needs.
- 2). Go to the baby store website. Look up the parents' registry if they have made one. If there's not a registry, browse the store. The parents may already have the baby's primary needs covered, but a soft blanket, bibs, towels, diapers and rattles or a stuffed animal will keep her warm, clean or amused.
- 3). Select the item you want to give and add it to your online cart.
- 4). Follow the retailer's online checkout process. Select your method of payment and complete your billing information as directed. Add the baby's name and address in the shipping information box. If possible, include a personal note to the family in a gift message section.
- 5). Save you order number and confirmation until you learn the gift arrived.
- 1). Make your gift for the baby girl. Options for homemade baby gifts include a knitted blanket or hat, or a customized name sign for the nursery door. (see Reference #1)
- 2). Wrap your gift in tissue paper or wrapping paper. Choose classic girl colors like coral, or paper designed just for children. The baby may not notice your wrapping, but her parents will appreciate the extra effort.
- 3). Go to your post office or local commercial shipper. Choose the smallest shipping box that will accommodate your gift.
- 4). Protect your gift with packing peanuts or bubble wrap. Fill in any empty space in your packing box to prevent the item from moving around.
- 5). Address your gift to the new baby girl and pay the shipping cost.
