Wunderlist Task Manager iPhone App Review

Wunderlist Task Manager (Free) is a popular productivity app that enjoys excellent ratings from iTunes users and a nod as an iTunes App of the Week. The app uses cloud computing so you can access your notes and to-do lists from anywhere, including the Wunderlist desktop app for Macs and PCs.
Streamlined interface for managing to-do lists
Wunderlist’s interface is streamlined and simple, which is exactly what you want to see in a productivity app. The app has a choice of several backgrounds, and each to-do list is illustrated in a simple white-and-black design. Next to each list, you’ll see the number of outstanding items. Priority items can be starred and accessed from a separate tab, where you can add due dates and notes. Any due dates entered in this area also show up under the calendar tab. If you don’t complete them on time, those items move to the overdue tab.
You can also view your to-do items for tomorrow, the next seven days, or later dates. I also like that the app icon displays a red badge when you have an outstanding item for that day. The Wunderlist app also syncs with the free desktop application, so your lists will update between the two programs.
However, there are a few features that I think would make Wunderlist even better. A monthly calendar view would be especially helpful, since it helps put dates into perspective better than a list.
While the desktop version includes email sharing, that’s a feature currently lacking on the Wunderlist iPhone app. That would be a useful feature to have for sharing lists or tasks with colleagues or friends.
The Bottom Line
Other than the few missing features mentioned previously, I could find very few downsides to the Wunderlist app. This free app is easy to use, looks good, and provides an intuitive way to keep track of your tasks and to-do lists. Those who have trouble keeping on top of their daily to-do list should definitely take a look at Wunderlist. Overall rating: 4.5 stars out of 5.
What You’ll Need
Wunderlist is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It requires iPhone OS 3.1 or later.
