Go to the Microsoft Download Center website (see Resources).

Click on the "Continue" button located next to the Windows Media codec file name.

Click on the "Continue" button underneath "Run the validation tool." A new window will open.

Click on the "Save File" button to download the validation program.

Click on the downloaded file to open the Genuine Check validation program.

Click on the "Copy to Clipboard" button to copy your validation code to your clipboard.

Right-click in the empty validation code field. Press "Control+V" to paste your code into the field and click on the "Validate" button.

Click on the "Download" button located next to the Windows Media codec file name.

Click on the "Save File" button in the new window to download the codec file.

Double-click on the codec file to install it on your computer.
