How to Make Fruit & Flower Arrangements
- 1). Insert the flower foam into the vase. This will be a strong base that holds the carnations and the fruit once it's placed on the bamboo skewers.
- 2). Slice the pineapple into 1/2-inch discs. Press the flower-shape cookie cutter into each disk, and cut out a flower shape of pineapple. Repeat for all the pineapple disks.
- 3). Taking a bamboo stick, poke through the center of the pineapple flower, and let just enough of the point stick through so that you'll be able to attach a maraschino cherry. Stick the maraschino cherry onto the center of the pineapple flower, and repeat this process for all the other pineapple flowers.
- 4). Slice the greens off the ends of all the strawberries. Stick one strawberry, cut-side down, onto a bamboo skewer. Repeat for all the strawberries.
- 5). Take the grapes off the vine, and stick about five grapes on each skewer. Continue doing this until you are out of grapes.
- 6). Begin sticking the bottom of the bamboo skewers into the flower foam, arranging the fruit so it's evenly dispersed throughout the vase. Once you're done with this, examine the fruit bouquet and note the empty spaces where the foam shows through most prominently.
- 7). Insert the carnations into the flower foam in the empty spaces. If there are still a lot of gaps, parsley, baby's breath and fern make great filler.
