    • 1). Drill a small hole in one quarter, about 1 millimeter from the top and centered.

    • 2). Place the quarter directly on top of another quarter and stick the tip of a black marker through the hole to make a mark on the bottom quarter.

    • 3). Drill a small hole over the mark you just made in the second quarter.

    • 4). Spray paint your quarters any color you like, then set them aside until dry.

    • 5). Stick one side of a self-adhesive magnetic snap to the bottom of one coin, and then do the same to the other coin with the other side of the snap. Use magnetic snaps that are as thin as card stock in the smallest size you can find.

    • 6). Pry open a 4 to 6 millimeter jump ring with a pair of needle nose pliers.

    • 7). Slide the jump ring through the quarters so that the magnetic snaps are facing each other.

    • 8). Close the jump ring with your needle nose pliers, being careful not to warp the shape of the ring.

    • 9). Cut two small photos, just large enough to fit between the holes in the top of the coins and the magnetic snaps at the bottom of the coins.

Use a jewelry metal glue to attach one photo to each coin.

    • 11

Close the locket and use your jewelry metal glue to attach a gem or other decoration to the front of the locket.

String a necklace through the locket`s jump ring.
