Finally! A great alternative to Toshiba's LCD/DVD player combos.
For those of you who are familiar with these HDTV models, there were not many great alternatives to the Toshiba LV series for a long time now.
Because of that I was high in anticipation for the release of the 22-inch Sharp LC22DV27UT.
After using it for a couple of weeks, I realized that the Sharp LC22DV27UT was more than just a great alternative.
For starters, I was very grateful for the great audio output.
The audio was powerful enough that I did not need to hook it up with any external speakers (I use it in my home office which is a small room).
The Sharp LC22DV27UT can play HD videos a 720p and 16:9 image ratio.
It has a 60Hz refresh rate and a 5ms response time.
Connectivity wise, this model comes with a HDMI output, a VGA output, a host of audio jacks among other things.
This TV may not compare well to many large, high-end HDTV models but it does play HD movies pretty well.
While playing DVDs on it, the images were vibrant and sharp.
It also has a large array of settings where you can tweak it to your heart's content.
Looks, wise, the Sharp LC22DV27UT sports a mute and modern look.
The front mostly has a glossy black finish with the speaker bar located below the screen.
