Educational Psychology Scholarships
- The American School Counselor Association makes scholarship money available to graduate students pursuing a career in educational psychology through the ASCA Foundation Scholarship. The ASCA Foundation Scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1,000. To be eligible, an applicant must be pursuing a master's degree and must be attending school on a full-time basis. Ten scholarships are awarded each year. Preferential consideration may be given to male and minority applicants. The annual deadline for application is October 14.
- The National Association of School Psychologists makes scholarship money available to educational psychology majors through the NASP-ERT Minority Scholarship Program for Graduate Training in School Psychology. This scholarship is awarded in the amount of $5,000. To be eligible, an applicant must be studying at the graduate level and must belong to one of the following minority groups: Native American, Native Alaskan, Asian or Pacific Islander, African American, or Hispanic/Latino. Applicants must also have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0. Ph.D. students are ineligible.
- The School of Applied Health & Educational Psychology at Oklahoma State University offers several scholarships to attending students. The A.B. Harrison Scholarship is available to graduate students in amounts of up to $1,000. The Lana B. Stone Diversity Endowed Scholarship is available to graduate students with a GPA of 3.5 or better and is awarded in the amount of $400. The Myron C. Ledbetter Diversity Endowed Scholarship is available in amounts of up to $900.
- Students studying educational psychology at the University of North Texas are eligible for several departmental scholarships. The Kemp-Jacobson Scholarship is available in the amount of $500 to one undergraduate student with a GPA of at least 3.0 and one master's student with a GPA of at least 3.5. The Dr. Jon Young Endowed Scholarship is available to graduate students, and the Center for Parent Education Scholarship is available to both undergraduate and graduate students who have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
