How to Crochet a Lacy Infinity Scarf
- 1). Make 120 chain stitches using worsted weight yarn and a size US K crochet hook.
- 2). Keep the chain stitches straight and bring the two ends of the row of stitches together to form a circle. Make a slip stitch to connect the last chain to the first.
- 3). Make one chain, then make a single crochet stitch in every chain stitch around the circle. Join the last stitch to the first with a slip stitch.
- 4). Make four chain stitches. Skip the next single crochet, then make a double crochet in the following stitch. Make one chain, skip the next single crochet and double crochet in the following stitch. Repeat this pattern around around: make one chain, skip one stitch, double crochet in the next stitch. Finish with making one chain, then join the round with a slip stitch.
- 5). Make four chains and double crochet in the next double crochet stitch. Make one chain, then double crochet in the following double crochet stitch. Repeat that pattern around: make one chain, double crochet in the double crochet. Close the round with a slip stitch.
- 6). Repeat step five three more times to add width to your infinity scarf.
- 7). Make one chain, then make a single crochet stitch in every double crochet stitch and chain stitch around. Join with a slip stitch.
- 8). Cut the working yarn with scissors leaving a 4-inch tail. Pull this tail all the way through the loop on your crochet hook to finish off the scarf. Thread the tail onto an embroidery needle and weave the tail in and out of the stitches on the scarf to hide it.
