How to Troubleshoot a Frigidaire Dishwasher That Is Leaking Under the Overflow
- 1). Check the dishwasher detergent area for the clogging of the tray. Remove the tray from the unit by pressing down the clips. Soak the tray in water to remove the clog. Only use detergent for automatic washers.
- 2). Place a level on the front of the unit. Adjust the feet of the dishwasher by turning them by hand until the unit is level.
- 3). Lift out the dishwashing trays from the unit. Unscrew the nut holding the strainer in the unit and remove any food debris from the strainer with water. Clean out the bottom of the strainer well by hand.
- 4). Remove the screws holding the unit to the countertop. Unplug the unit.
- 5). Pull the dishwasher out from under the counter and inspect the connection to the machine. Tighten the connection with a wrench if leaking. Replace the tube if necessary.
