How to Find Out What Browser I Am Using
- 1). Check the top bar of your browser window above the main menu. You will usually see a logo at the top along with the name of the browser after the website title. The Safari browser is the one system that may not show its name in the top title box, but you can distinguish it by its plain grayish silver appearance.
- 2). Navigate to the "Help" menu or similar on the menu bar of the browser. Click the drop down menu and select the "About" option. A pop up dialog box appears showing your browser type as well as the release number.
- 3). Click to your "Settings" or "Preferences" menu if you're surfing the Internet using a browser on your mobile phone.
- 4). Use an online browser-checking website as another quick option to find out which browser you're using. As soon as you visit the website, it displays the name and version of your browser.
