103 5
The Nintendo Wii is an ever changing console.
With new controllers, games and updates being released frequently, its already expensive enough to keep up with just this.
But what happens when you damage a disc beyond repair? Just go out and buy a new one? I did this many times and was beginning to get sick of spending hundreds of dollars replacing games every few months.
If your like me, you may want to find a solution to this.
A way to copy and back up all those original discs in case one goes missing, stolen, damaged or even eaten by the dog! (It does happen!) Did you know: Wii discs can develop tiny scratches over time by just repeatedly inserting and ejecting the disc? Eventually this could result in an awful error message, stopping you from playing for favourite game.
How many times have your kids, brothers, sisters, parents or even yourself left discs out of the cases? Only to go pick it up to play and be horrified by the massive scratches on the back.
I know this has happened to me many many times and I would kick myself every time.
Knowing that I should of found a way to copy Wii games.
You can now buy software to copy games on the internet.
This software allows you to bypass the built in protection and make perfect copies of your games for your own use.
But how do you know which software is the best to buy? I spent hours trying to research the best application.
Spent money on rubbish, got lucky with some.
Anyway once you get your hands on this software.
There is a simple 4 step procedure to copy Wii games
  • Firstly insert the disc you want to copy into you computers CD/DVD drive.
  • Use the software to make a virtual copy on the game.
  • Insert blank DVD into computers drive.
  • Burn game onto blank DVD.
It really is that straightforward! I wish I had started copying and backing up my discs sooner.
Instead of wasting money on replacing damaged discs.
When choosing the right software you must take a few things into consideration.
Firstly the software must be able to get through the built in copyright protection.
All claim they can achieve this must only a handful actually can.
Secondly you want a good user interface which can walk you through the different steps.
Thirdly available online support in case you need some assistance.
