How to Remove Black Marker From Clothes
- 1). Place some paper towels down on a flat surface.
- 2). Position the stained garment with the black marker stain face down on the paper towels.
- 3). Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth or cotton ball, whichever you prefer. Blot the area around the stain on the underside of the garment. Apply more rubbing alcohol directly on the stained spot.
- 4). Change the paper towels as they begin to absorb the ink. Continue blotting until you’ve transferred as much ink to the paper towels as possible.
- 5). Rinse the garment in water.
- 6). Wash the garment with detergent.
- 1). Apply a prewash stain remover to the stained area of your garment. Allow one minute for the product to be absorbed.
- 2). Apply liquid laundry detergent to the stained area if it is a heavy stain. Rub the detergent in with a clean cloth.
- 3). Wash the garment immediately after applying pretreatment. If the stain persists, try washing the garment in bleach that is safe for the fabric.
