How to Make Anklets Without Beads By Twisting String
- 1). Measure the circumference of your ankle with a tape measure.
- 2). Cut three pieces of embroidery floss, each of a different color and each six inches longer than the circumference of your ankle. Knot the threads together, leaving three inches at the top of the thread.
- 3). Clip the 3-inch length above the knot to the clipboard to hold it in place.
- 4). Twist the floss strings together. Separate the three strings. Cross the right one over the center and tighten, then cross the left over the center, and tighten. Continue this till the twisted portion is the length of the circumference of your ankle.
- 5). Knot the thread at the end of the twisted floss portion. Wrap the anklet around your ankle and knot it twice for security. Tie it as tightly or as loosely as is comfortable, then cut away any excess thread.
