What"s Good on Nutrisystem? I"ll Tell You

103 219
The other day, I received an email from someone who was getting ready to make her first Nutrisystem purchase.
She asked me "which of the foods or choices are good because I want to make sure that I order foods that I will actually like.
"  In actuality, most of the choices are pretty good ones, but the answer depends on which of the programs she chose to go with.
I'll explain this more in the following article.
Tasty Or Good Nutrisystem Foods In The Basic Women's Program: Most of the foods in most of the plans come out of the basic women's program.
What I mean by that is that the vegetarian, diabetic and flex (or part time) Nutrisystem plans will all include foods from the basic program which are prepackaged.
All of these foods are relatively decent, but some are better than others.
Most of the breakfast foods are quite edible.
(It's harder to mess up breakfast, I think.
)  But standouts are the pancakes, the muffins, the scones, and the crunch cereal.
Any of the pizzas are good (although the thin crust is my favorite.
) Also, you can't go wrong with any of the raviolis.
The macaroni and cheese is pretty decent.
I also really like the risotto and the vegetable lasagna.
  The fajitas are tasty also.
Generally speaking, I'm not as big a fan or any of the soups or stews, but I wouldn't order soup or stew at a restaurant either and I don't cook it at home.
You'll generally be quite pleased is you stick with the pasta and carb type choices, at least in my experience.
The snacks and desserts are all pretty good too.
Sure, the portions are smaller and the cakes aren't slathered in frosting, but the fact that you can have a brownie, shortcake, or a candy bar is aces in my book because some diets don't offer you that option at all and that fact becomes quite old after a while.
You aren't likely to stick with a diet if you have to deprive yourself on a daily basis.
Nutrisystem Select Choices Are Probably The Best Tasting Foods On The Menu:  If you want the best tasting choices on the menu, then the "select" options are it.
These are frozen rather than prepackaged foods and they are advertised as being "restaurant quality.
"  I would have to agree that they are very good.
You really can't go wrong with any of them, but this package is a bit more expensive (about $30 more, if I remember correctly.
)   I've gotten to a point where I hand pick my foods.
(The company allows you to do this.
You just have to chose the custom option.
)  I do like and enjoy several of the prepacked meals on the basic plan so I will generally order a month's worth of that.
Then, I will add items that I really enjoy of the select menu so that I'm only paying for foods that I know that I'm actually going to look forward to eating.
