How to Make a Flash Catalog
- 1). Load the images that you want to us in your catalog onto your computer, saving them all to the same folder.
- 2). Start the InDesign application. Under "Create New" click on "Document." In the dialog, enter the number of pages you want for your catalog, including the cover. Also choose the size you want and the orientation. Click "OK."
- 3). Select "File" from the menu at the top and choose "Place." In the dialog, browse to and select an image you want on the first page. Drag the mouse on the page to place and size the image. Repeat this for any other images that go on that page.
- 4). Select the "Type" tool from the toolbar and drag a textbox where you would like some text. In the options at the top, choose the font size, style and color you want. Type in your text. Repeat this to add all the text for the page.
- 5). Go to the "Pages" panel on the right and double-click on the next page. Repeat steps 3-4 to add the images and text for this page. Repeat this for all of the pages of the catalog.
- 6). Select "File" from the menu and choose "Export." In the dialog, name the file and choose "SWF" as the file format. Click "Save." In the dialog, make sure "Include Interactive Page Curl" is on and click "OK." Your Flash catalog will be saved.
