How to Make Really Easy But Cool String Bracelets
- 1). Lay the glass beads out in a pattern you like. Place them on a dish towel to prevent the beads from rolling away and ruining the pattern you have created. Use as many or as few beads as you like. All sizes of beads will work for this bracelet.
- 2). Cut the waxed jewelry thread to double the size of your wrist or the size of the bracelet you are making. Add 2 inches for tying it to the lobster clasp.
- 3). Tie one end of the waxed string to one of the ends of the lobster clasp. Put the end of the string through the loop on the end of the clasp and tie a regular overhand knot (like double-knotting your sneakers). This will keep the beads from slipping off the end while you work.
- 4). Thread a bead onto the waxed sting. Tie an overhand knot in the string to secure the bead in place. Secure the knot up against the bead so it stays tight. Repeat this process until the bracelet is finished. There should be a knot on both sides of every bead to hold the bead in place and add to the design of the bracelet.
- 5). Tie the loose end of waxed string to the other side of the lobster clasp by putting the end of the string through the loop on the clasp and tying an overhand knot to secure it. Cut any excess string from both ends of the clasp.
