Bali is one of the provinces of Indonesia including a number of small neighboring islands and the isle of Bali. This province has a population of close to 4.5 million inhabitants being the home to the majority of the Indonesian Hindu minority. The predominant religion in the area is Hinduism and a minority practice Islam. Bali is the tourist hub of Indonesia mainly because of the traditional culture of the natives. Tourists are also attracted by the traditional forms of art including; dancing, sculpting, music, painting and metal working. Tourism mainly focuses on the southern part of this province.

If you are visiting Bali for the first time you may find it a little bit congested to say the least giving you the impression of difficulty in travel and tours. This however is not the case as there are very many ways you can move from place to place all across this province while avoiding traffic jams. For tourists the best way to get around is by hiring a vehicle and a driver to take you around. Local drivers have experience and are able to maneuver with ease through the traffic congestion. Another easier method of moving around is by hiring a scooter. If you have your license you will find scooters less costly and enjoyable when moving from one place to another. Finally we have public transport systems. Though they are efficient at times they tend to be time consuming and rather uncomfortable.

Some of the main tourist locations in this province include; the Town of Kuta with its wonderful beach and its two major suburbs of Seminyak and Legian; Sanur located on the east coast; and the town of Ubud that is located at the center of the island. Though Bali appears small in size it has so much to off and as a matter of fact it was given the best Island award by Travel and leisure magazine in the year 2010. There are numerous tourist attractions ranging from wonderful international and local restaurants, fun activities, rich culture and art. In fact Bali was ranked as the second best island after Greece in the year 2011.

Tourists do not have to worry about accommodation as Bali caters for a diverse range of individuals depending on their budget. Despite its traditional look Bali has numerous high class hotels and resorts with modern facilities ensuring you enjoy your stay. You can also rent a villa in any of the exclusive locations in Bali. This way you will be able to experience privacy in a calm environment while enjoying the scenic views. Another important aspect of accommodation is the typical Balinese home stays usually located in the family compounds thereby allowing you to interact and experience the Balinese way of life.

There are numerous fun activities that you can engage in on your visit to Bali. You can choose to visit the magnificent Kintamani Volcano that also offers a scenic view of the countryside. There are numerous ancient Hindu temples including the nine directional temples commonly referred to as the Kayangan Jagat. Another exciting place to visit is the mysterious 11th century Elephant cave temple. Even though Bali has had its fair share of terrorism attacks in the past it is now a more secure location and even major countries of the west have lifted almost all the travel bans and advisories against Bali.
