How to Care for Car Paint After Rain
- 1). Fill a cleaning bucket with your normal car wash solution, using about 1 tbsp. car wash soap per gallon of water.
- 2). Pre-rinse the car with your hose, and dip a sponge into the cleaning solution. Wipe the soapy mixture all over the car and rinse off with the hose.
- 3). Saturate a cleaning rag with white vinegar, and wipe over any dried-on water spots. Continue across the car paint until all spots are removed.
- 4). Rinse the car with the hose and dry with a clean rag to prevent new water spots.
- 5). Apply a layer of car wax if the paint looks dull. Follow the instructions on the wax container for application instructions based on the product you are using.
