First, let me just say that I am not against ghostwriting.
In fact, I highly recommend it to my clients who would like to make money from the comforts of their own home.
However, before you sink your teeth into this endeavor, it's important for you to understand that just like in any type of job, this isn't a bed of roses and that although it's very lucrative, there are some disadvantages that you need to be prepared for.
Some of them are the following: 1.
Working alone.
If you're used to going to office with colleagues and friends, you might find working alone not really enjoyable.
You may also feel a bit sad about not having quarterly team meetings or parties.
2.
Distractions.
Working from home means working with so many distractions.
You maybe tempted to watch your favorite TV series and put off your writing task to tomorrow.
You may find it more enjoyable to play soccer with your kids than spending time in front of your keyboard.
You might have serious fight with your spouse that will not allow you to work properly.
3.
Extended working hours.
If you have the habit of putting things to tomorrow, you will surely find yourself writing all day and all night before just to meet your deadline.
4.
Earnings.
If you're just starting out, you might not find this endeavor very lucrative just yet.
You will need to build your client base first and you need to establish your expertise to get people to do business with you.
This would mean earning less on the first couple of months.
