    • Connecticut offers 11 bodies of water designated as Trout Parks, which are aimed at enhancing the fishing experience of young anglers. The waters are manually stocked with fish, which greatly increases the chances of a child reeling in a catch.     Snow Sports

    • Wintertime in Connecticut sets the stage for a variety of fun activities in the snow for kids. Woodbury has 14 trails for skiing, snow tubing and snow biking. Skating and hockey games take place at ice rinks in Bridgeport, Danbury and West Haven. In Windsor, the Northwest Park is a recreational facility offering 12 miles of trails. Powder Ridge in Middlefield has five snow tubing trails. Kids enjoy cross-country skiing, ice skating and sledding at Winding Trails Cross in Farmington.
