How to Kill Weeds in a Driveway With Salt Brine and Vinegar
- 1). Mix 1 cup of table salt with 2 cups of boiling water in a cooking pot until the salt dissolves. Salt dehydrates the weeds by absorbing the water around the roots.
- 2). Pour the salt brine solution over the weeds to kill them. Pour the solution carefully to prevent the boiling water from splashing. The weeds will die within 24 hours.
- 3). Remove the dead weeds from the driveway and discard them.
- 1). Fill a clean spray bottle or garden sprayer with white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar.
- 2). Spray the weeds with the vinegar close to the ground level.
- 3). Inspect the weeds after 24 hours. Reapply the solution the following day if the weeds are still thriving.
