Keeping the piano well tuned, is essential for its sound to remain rich and soulful.
For anyone who plays regularly or who is taking piano lessons, it is recommended that the instrument be tuned at least twice yearly but based on the conditions of the piano, the climate in the room it is used and its age, an annual service may be sufficient.
It is essential to insure that you are using an experienced tuner and one whose love of the instrument and passion for the craft of tuning will give service as if the piano was his/her own.
For an experienced tuner, you should expect to pay in the vicinity of 85-125 dollars without any other needed repairs, give or take the competitive conditions of the geographic area of the needed service and the type of piano it is, but price alone must not dictate the decision for choosing a tuner.

Bringing the piano to pitch and keeping it regulated will insure that the notes are sounding the way they should.
