How to Get Rid of Pimples on Your Chin

    • 1). Wash your face in the morning and at night with a clarifying facial cleanser. Keeping skin clean is essential to avoid spreading the pimple breakout. Use warm water and be gentle around your chin to avoid popping any of the pimples.

    • 2). Give yourself a steam mask. Fill your sink with hot water and hold your face as close to the water as possible. For better results, you can cover your head with a towel to trap the steam. This helps bring the dirt and puss trapped in the pimples to the surface of your skin. Initially your skin might appear worse, but it's part of the cleansing process. If your skin looks or feels particularly inflamed after this, you can take an anti-inflammatory medication, such as ibuprofen.

    • 3). Moisturize. If you have oily skin, use a light moisturizer once a day. If your skin is dry, you can use something heavier or use a light moisturizer a few times a day. If you don't moisturize, your body will try to compensate by producing more natural oils. This clogs your pores and can result in even more pimples.

    • 4). Use a salicylic acid-based acne cream. This will help dry out everything that has come to the surface as a result of regular cleansing and steam masks. Use the cream sparingly on your chin, as it can dry out your skin and cause your body to overproduce natural oil.

    • 5). Keep your hands away from your face. Scratching or popping pimples will only spread the pus inside of them. This will either cause tiny scabs, which can get infected if you continue to touch your face, or it can cause more pimples. If you are guilty of obsessively trying to pop pimples, you must take measures to stop. Touching an outbreak not only spreads bacteria, but can also result in permanent scarring.
