How to Amend Clay With Gypsum & Pea Gravel
- 1). Till the area where the soil is to be amended with a rototiller. This will allow the gypsum and pea gravel to better mix with the clay.
- 2). Spread out the pea gravel in the area that has been tilled up, breaking up any remaining large clumps of clay and thoroughly mixing the pea gravel in.
- 3). Spread the gypsum soil amendment evenly in the area that has been tilled and mixed with the pea gravel. Make several additional passes across the tilled soil with the rototiller. Be sure to completely mix the gypsum soil amendment into the dirt to complete the soil amendment process.
