Make a Friend Washington DC
One day I went on a guided tour at the Smithsonian and met this really interesting woman who I was with for most of the tour. Afterwards, we went to one of the restaurants at the museum and had lunch. We had a great time talking, had the same sense of humor, and the same interests. And the most ironic part of it all was that she was new to the city as well. I quickly realized that it is not difficult to find friends.
I also met some other people that became my Friend Washington DC through a website called Professionals in the City. They have a bunch of great activities and even trips abroad that were just incredible. My new girlfriends and me decided to go on ski trip that they organized to Colorado. It wasn't that expensive and we had the time of our lives. We met some really cute guys while on the trip and one of my friends is now in a long distance relationship with him and is considering moving to Colorado.
Pros in the City have other events they hold where you can easily make friends. They have gallery tours, horseback riding trips, cooking classes with renowned chefs, wine tasting, seminars and a many more other ways to meet people. Even if you're the shy type, the events are so fun that the shyness will slowly slip away and you'll soon be booking other events with the people you've met.
If it weren't for Friend Washington DC, I'd still be home at night behind my computer screen catching up with my old friends. Now I have several new friends and I feel great in my new city.
