When you are feeling a little lacklustre and you can't quite put your finger on why you are feeling this way, then chances are that you are feeling fatigued! Tiredness and fatigue is quite common place in adults as we try to balance our sleeping routines around our hectic lifestyles.
There are actions that you can take to stop feeling tired, however firstly you need to be able to recognize tired signs early before they get out of control.
Here are some more common symptoms that should alert you to the fact that tiredness could be the root cause.

This is when the body gets ready for a "fight or flight" situation.
This was okay back in the days when all we had to worry about was hunting for our food.
However in the 21st century, with 60-70 hour working weeks, impending deadlines and money worries, our lifestyle nowadays can cause continually high levels of stress.
Therefore poor sleep is really much more prevalent in the modern day world.
Mental health problems Mental health issues can be a major cause of tiredness and fatigue.
Such things as anxiety disorders can give you an impending feeling of constant worry which, in turn, can raise the anxiety sufferers stress levels.
Depression can also cause fatigue and tiredness because when you are depressed you are not getting the deep healing sleep that you need even though you might be sleeping long hours.
Physical causes Being overweight or underweight means that your body has to work that much harder in order for you to achieve everyday tasks which will in turn cause fatigue and tiredness.
Other conditions that may leave you feeling tired are Anaemia, Asthma, and an overactive/underactive thyroid.
Pregnancy can also also leave you feeling severely fatigued.
Lifestyle In the modern day world our lifestyle has changed.
It is much more fast paced and is not geared up towards healthy living and sleeping.
Shift workers are prone to sleep problems and shift work sleep disorder (SWSD) has become a real problem today.
Poor diets can also be the cause of constant tiredness, As we consume fast food we lack the vitamins and nutrients necessary to aid good sleep.
