How to Make Your Own Felt Decals for Walls
- 1). Draw the base shape of the decal onto a thin piece of cardboard. Cut out the shape outline.
- 2). Place the cardboard outline onto the felt color that will form the base of the decal. Trace around it with fabric chalk and cut out with scissors.
- 3). Affix the felt shape to the cardboard base with craft glue. Position the shapes so they line up with one another.
- 4). Create felt shapes to fill in the details of the decal. For example, if you are making a felt flower decal, the base color would be green for the stem. Cut out different petal shapes and glue them on top of the green base. Continue with this until the design of your decal is complete.
- 5). Attach the felt decal to the wall by applying double-sided tape or sticky tack to the back of the cardboard. Press into place on the wall to display.
