How to Draw a Fancy Cat
- 1). Sketch a light circle on the paper to represent the head. Below this, make a bean shape to represent the body.
- 2). Draw another small circle inside the head circle, near the bottom. Decide where you want the ears to be, and sketch two triangles to represent them.
- 3). From the ears, lightly draw two diagonal lines through the circle. Draw an upside-down triangle where they cross to represent the nose.
- 4). Draw the eyes, one on each side of the nose and slightly above it. For an aloof fancy cat, draw the eyes as exaggerated slits.
- 5). Draw a slightly rounded W shape, with the middle point at the tip of the triangular nose. The bigger the W, the more friendly the cat will look. Fancier-style cats tend to be seen as snooty, and are drawn with smaller mouths or no mouths.
- 6). Sketch the body around your guidelines. The front paws will come from the shoulders just below the neck. Draw the back legs curled from the bottom of the bean shape. Drawing a longer neck will contribute to the fancy style, as well as a long, curling tail.
- 7). Add in the details, such as a jeweled collar and long, elegant whiskers.
