    • 1). Calculate the desired size of your screen, taking into account your projector and its distance from the screen. Add six inches to the length and width to account for overlap onto the frame. Lay the screen material flat on the ground in a clean and open area, face down. Measure the desired dimensions of your screen and make corner markings with a pencil.

    • 2). Snap a chalk line between your corner markings so that you have a large rectangle clearly traced onto the back of the material. Using the scissors, carefully cut along these lines.

    • 3). Build a frame for your screen using the 2 by 4s and brackets. Cut the 2 by 4s to create a rectangle the exact dimensions you want the screen to be (without the extra three inches.) Lay the pieces flat in their rectangular form and attach them by placing the flat brackets across each seam and securing with a short screw.

    • 4). Stretch your screen material over the frame and staple in place on the back of the frame. You will likely need two or three people to accomplish this. Begin by stapling the top of the screen, then the bottom, followed by the sides. Place a staple every inch along each side. You will need to fold over the excess material in the corners and secure with staples.

    • 5). Attach picture hanging brackets across the back and use to mount the screen onto the wall of your home theater or other viewing area.
