How to Draw Roses With Pencils
- 1). Trace a medium size circle in the center of the page. Draw a thin, slightly curvy, vertical line down from the bottom of the circle. Add upward diagonal lines -- slightly off center -- on the right side and left of the vertical line. The figure should resemble a human stick figure with no legs.
- 2). Add several wavy lines beginning at the bottom of the circle and coming up through the face of the circle. Allow each line to slightly protrude beyond the top of the circle. The wavy lines are the beginning of your bulb pedals.
- 3). Finish the bulb pedals. Loop small curved lines from the top of each wavy line, back down to the face of the circle. Erase any initial tracing guidelines as necessary to enhance the illusion that the pedals bend and overlap.
- 4). Trace teardrop shaped zigzag outline each diagonal stem line to complete the stem pedals. Repeat steps one through four for however many roses you wish to draw.
