Position in Surfing

105 15
Position in surfing is one of the key concepts of success in surfing. Suppose you make a mistake with the starting point and are too low, that is, where the wave is about to break down and will cover you with all its might. Most often, the result is the above experience with burying the board edge. To avoid this, you must remember that you have a simple tool in your arsenal such as a change of position on the board! In our case, it is enough to move closer to the stern, to bring back the body weight and thus avoid burying the edge. You should make it easy, rather holding both hands on the edge of the board, pull it from under the board.

It should be recalled that, we mean two different manifestations of it:
1. Position relative to the wave surfer
2. Surfer on a board position
Two of these types should not be viewed in isolation, on the contrary, they are closely linked and timely adjustment of a wrong choice can eliminate the other. But first things first, consider, though each of the items one by one.

Position Relative to the Wave Surfer
Thus, the position relative to the wave surfer characterizes choice at starting point when you start shoveling to wave and leap on board. The solution is that the more your board is bigger in length, waves can accommodate surfers to stay further away from the point of breaking waves. Conversely, the shorter the board, the closer are the chances to peak the best wave so you must sit like a successful surfer trying to catch a wave.

It should be remembered that the length of the board with experience can start directly from the wall of the wave. It is where the wave is about to break, but the other way around like start where there is beginning to emerge from the wave. If you fail to do this, catching up wave will not succeed.

Position of the Surfer on the Board
Now consider the position of the surfer on the board. The rule here is to shift the center of gravity closer to the nose of the board. This position allows accelerating during overrun and expediting the movement of the board when riding. It helps in shifting the center of gravity to the aft as it slows down the board. In other words, the closer you face the board the faster you slide down the waves, the closer you are to the stern, the more inhibited plaque you will face.

Talking about the correct position on the board, I always focus on the generic version. In this case, you should always keep in mind the possibility of timely adjustment of the location. Here, it is a manifestation of the relationship between the two types of positions. I hope that the assimilation of the following material will allow you to reduce the unpleasant experience.

Using these simple tricks, I hope you can quickly familiarize yourself with this amazing sport - surfing! But at the same time, remember, no theory can replace your experience, but a good theory will always help improve this experience. Surf apps work as the helping tools so you can have good knowledge about waves before experiencing it. So try it! I wish you good waves!
