Stewart M. Green, a life-long climber from Colorado, is the author and photographer of many books about rock climbing. Stewart began climbing at North Cheyenne Canon and the Garden of the Gods by his hometown of Colorado Springs at age 12 in 1965 and has since climbed cliffs, towers, and mountains all over the world.
Experience
Stewart Green, a senior rock climbing guide for Front Range Climbing Company in Colorado Springs, has made many first ascents of climbing routes, particularly in Colorado and Utah. He continues to climb at areas around the world, including many of his favorite areas in Europe. Stewart, a contract writer and photographer for Falcon Guides/Globe Pequot Press, has written almost 30 books.

Education
Stewart studied Anthropology and Southwestern Archeology at the University of Colorado, earning a BA degree with greatest distinction. He also has a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Creative Non-Fiction Writing from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.
