How to Make a Turkey Card

104 39
    • 1). Fold a sheet of 5-by-11-inch card stock in half to make the card blank. Use card stock in a color that coordinates with your turkey.

    • 2). Cut a 2 1/2-inch-diameter circle from dark brown card stock. Cut a 3 1/2-inch-diameter half circle from the same card stock, then cut a 1-inch-diameter half circle from the center of this so it resembles the shape of a rainbow.

    • 3). Tape the end of a length of red embroidery floss to the back of one end of the half circle card stock. Wrap the floss around the card stock, looping it around the front. Continue looping until you reach the opposite end of the card stock, then tape the other end of the floss to the back.

    • 4). Tape the end of yellow embroidery floss to the back of the half circle and begin wrapping it around as you did the red floss. Wrap the yellow floss so it sits between the red floss. Continue until the card stock is covered, then tape the end of the floss to the back. This is the turkey tail.

    • 5). Glue the turkey tail to the front of the card blank with white craft glue. Glue the brown 2 1/2-inch circle onto the front of the tail, arranging it so it covers the bottom of the tail arch.

    • 6). Cut out a 1 1/2-inch peanut shape from a sheet of red card stock. Center this over the top of the circle and tail to form the turkey head.

    • 7). Cut two 1-inch-long leaf shapes from the brown card stock and small triangle from a sheet of yellow card stock. Glue a leaf shape on either side of the brown circle to form the turkey wings. Glue the triangle on the top part of the peanut shape to form the turkey beak.
