How to Make Strawberrry JELL-O Cake
- 1). Bake a white, yellow or chocolate cake according to the 18.25-oz. cake mix box directions. Allow the cake to cool.
- 2). Make holes across the top of the cake in 1/2-inch intervals using a fork. Poke holes in the top of the cake with the fork, being careful not to break a part the top of the cake.
- 3). Stir the package of strawberry Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water with a spoon until it is dissolved. Pour the liquid Jell-O evenly over the top of the cake, allowing it to drip into the holes. Refrigerate the cake covered for three hours to allow the Jell-O to set.
- 4). Spread one 8-oz container of thawed whipped topping over the top of the cake using a spatula. Finish the cake by placing fresh or frozen thawed strawberry slices over the topping; use as many or as little berry slices as you desire.
