    Adam's Orgin

    • The Bible states that God ceated Adam from dust in his image, then blew breath into the nostrils of the man made of dust to give him life. The Bible book of Genesis states, "So God created man in His own image. . ." Adam was the last of God's creations, on the sixth day of creating the world. God created Adam as a grown man, able to reproduce.

    Eve's Orgin

    • The Bible says that God crdated Eve from Adam's flesh. She is called Eve because she is the mother of all living, which is the meaning of her name. God created Eve was as a companion to Adam, who was lonely as the only human being. The Bible book of Genesis states "And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." Eve was created full grown and able to reproduce.

    Adam and Eve's Transgression

    • According to the Bible, God gave Adam and Eve full access to everything in the Garden of Eden, except one tree, the tree of life. A serpent tempted Eve to eat from the tree of life, and after eating the fruit, she in turn tempted Adam to do the same. As a result, they became aware and ashamed of their nakedness, hid from God's presence as a result of their shame, released sin and introduced physical death into the world. Man from that point had to work hard to provide for his family, and woman had to suffer pain in childbirth. The transgression of Adam and Eve is often called the original sin.

    Adam and Eve After the Fall

    • Once Adam and Eve had eaten from the tree of life, God cast them outt of the Garden of Eden. He placed an angel at the entrance to guard it. They fashioned clothing from skins, perhaps from animals they sacrificed to God. They lost access to Paradise and their closeness to God. Following the fall, Adam and Eve had children and started to populate the Earth. They suffered the grief of their son Cain killing another son, Abel.
