How to Get Rid of Burnt Sugar From a Rice Cooker
- 1). Unplug the rice cooker from its power source and wait for it to cool.
- 2). Remove the inner pot and add two to three drops of liquid dish detergent and one-fourth cup baking soda. Fill the pot with hot water and allow it to soak for an entire night.
- 3). Pour the water off and use a soapy dishcloth to wash as much of the residue away as possible.
- 4). Scour the rice cooker's inner pot with a plastic dish scrubber.
- 5). Rinse away any remaining burnt sugar residue and dry with an absorbent towel. Return the pot to the rice cooker base.
