God"s Brilliant End to the Palestinians" Role

103 11
Sources close to the administration now say that President Obama has decided to shelve peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
Should he be reelected, the president plans to pick up talks several months into his second term; but they will not be a priority.
With the president stepping out of his role in the Middle East peace talks, so ends the role of the Palestinians in this process.
However, it was not the president that ended the Palestinians' role, it was God, as He prepares for the end-times treaty with Israel.
Certainly God effected this end, as He is the Sovereign One; however, as He so often does, He worked behind the scenes to end their involvement, by making it look like they ended it all by themselves by their own incredible missteps.
Let's see how this occurred by looking at some very recent developments.
We begin with the U.
S.
Senate which passed a resolution on Tuesday, threatening to cut off aid to the Palestinians if they pursue a U.
N.
resolution, declaring a Palestinian state.
The Senate's action highlights one of the craziest blunders of all time-crazy even by Palestinian standards.
A few months ago, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas proclaimed that he would bypass negotiations with Israel and go to the U.
N.
Security Council for a resolution.
The resolution for which he and other Palestinian leaders hope is the U.
N.
declaration of a Palestinian state.
Abbas could have had a Palestinian state already had he simply been willing to acknowledge the right of Israel to exist and accept the offer of 98% of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as the capital of the new Palestinian state.
(This is the offer made to Abbas by Ehud Barak while he was serving as prime minister of Israel.
) Yet he preferred to take the risk of a U.
N.
declaration; and what a risk it is, as we will see by examining how that has turned out thus far.
First of all, we see that a growing list of nations is rejecting the Palestinian plan for statehood.
The latest to do so is The Netherlands which sends millions annually to the Palestinian Authority.
Thus, the risk appears to go beyond the simple rejection of this Palestinian plan.
Based on the Senate resolution cited above, along with the threat of a growing number of other nations against this plan, the risk could involve the potential loss of hundreds of millions of dollars in annual aid.
This kind of loss would prevent the Palestinian leadership from meeting its financial obligations, including paying its security forces.
Since Abbas' only following comes from those he pays, losing that kind of money would quickly force Abbas from leadership.
It is becoming more evident that the September U.
N.
vote on the Palestinian resolution could lead to the collapse of the Palestinian Authority.
The resolution will be vetoed by the U.
S.
, which means it will not pass.
But something even more serious could occur.
Israel has already warned that if the Palestinian leadership goes through with pushing for this resolution, the Oslo Accords will be annulled.
That would mean that Israel would no longer collect a tax on behalf of the Authority, bringing to an end the immense monthly fund that is transferred to the P.
A.
and to Gaza.
As mentioned, the U.
S.
Senate has already threatened that it may stop funding the P.
A.
, which could cost the Palestinians $600 million annually.
As a result, the Palestinian Authority would likely collapse in rather short order.
Thus, P.
A.
leader Mahmoud Abbas knows that the resolution for which he is pushing will not pass, and bringing the resolution to the U.
N.
will likely cost him his government.
On the other hand, if he were to simply acknowledge the right of Israel to exist, and work together with the U.
S.
and Israel, a Palestinian state could be established very quickly.
Therefore, his refusal to do that, and his obsession with a U.
N.
resolution, will cost him, and the Palestinian people, dearly.
With the evidence before us, it appears that Abbas is making an insane choice; and he is.
But that does not really explain what is going on.
The only understandable and believable explanation regarding why this path must be pursued is because it is God's plan, as it lines up perfectly with end-times Bible prophecy.
In connection with the Senate's resolution (mentioned above), U.
S.
lawmakers reaffirmed opposition to a Palestinian government that includes Hamas-unless Hamas renounces terrorism and is willing to make peace with Israel.
However, this is like saying, "We will give help to the Pope if he renounces his Catholic faith.
" After all, if Hamas made those changes, the group would no longer be Hamas.
This takes us to another major misstep by the Palestinian leadership-signing a unity government deal with Hamas.
Signing on with this group that is officially recognized by the U.
S.
Congress as a terrorist entity, meant the risk of cutting off funding of the annual $600 million provided by the federal government.
This, in itself, would cry out, "Foolish move!" In addition, since Hamas' charter contains its explicit goal of eliminating the Jewish nation, signing this unity agreement meant there would never be a Palestinian treaty with Israel; that is a given.
It also means that Israel and the international community would eventually become impatient with the Palestinians and pursue another path for a regional treaty.
In fact, based on Bible prophecy, this is exactly what will occur.
The Bible indicates that there will be no treaty between Israel and the Palestinians.
Instead, the treaty of "peace and security" (see 1 Thessalonians 5:3) for which Israel is hoping will come in the form of an international treaty with Israel, co-signed by ten leaders of other nations.
(See much more detail and explanation of this in Apocalypse 2012: The Ticking of the End Time Clock-What Does the Bible Say?) If Israel signed a treaty with the Palestinians, it would only be because Israeli leadership believed it would achieve peace and security through it, and that may have prevented the Jewish nation from being open to the treaty predicted by the Bible, one that will also allow Israel to rebuild the Jewish temple on the Temple Mount (see Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4; etc.
).
Thus, God needed to prevent an Israeli-Palestinian treaty from being confirmed.
And He did-with a brilliant, behind-the-scenes plan! He made the abandonment of that treaty path appear to be caused by gross and insane missteps by the Palestinian leadership.
As a result, there will be no temptation to include the Palestinians in any kind of regional treaty, thus, removing the Palestinians completely from the prophetic picture.
This brilliant plan by God aligns perfectly with end-times Bible prophecy.
