How to Remove Tabs from the Command Line

    • 1). Open the Tabbed Command Prompt application by clicking "Start" > "All Programs" and selecting "Tabbed Command Prompt" from the application list.

    • 2). Click "File" and select "New Prompt Window" to open a new tab.

    • 3). Exit out of any tabs you'd like to close using one of the following three methods: type "exit" at the command prompt and press "Enter," click on the tab using your middle mouse button or click the "Close" icon on the tab itself.
