How to Repair a Sagging Mattress
- 1). Flip your mattress at regular intervals, both over and around. Usually once a month is a sufficient timespan. This will redistribute weight on the side of the mattress that is frequently used.
- 2). Turn the mattress so the side where your feet usually are ends up on the opposite side, where your head goes. The side where you head goes will end up on the bottom, where your feet usually rest.
- 3). Add a pillowtop mattress pad onto your mattress. Look for a pad that can be fluffed and the stuffing repositioned.
- 4). Alternate your sleeping spot so you don't always lie in the same position. This will give the mattress some time to recover.
- 5). Cut a block of memory foam to the size of your mattress with scissors. Slide the block underneath the mattress without anything in between.
- 6). Insert an inflatable mattress pad under the mattress. These pads slide under the mattress and fill with air to recover some of the lost firmness.
