Chive And Cheeseburgers What You Need:
  • 2 and 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons butter, chopped into small bits
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 chopped chives
  • 1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan
  • 8 slices of processed American cheese
  • 16 tomato slices
  • 8 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 8 leaves of iceberg lettuce
  • 8 hamburger buns
How To Make It: Put the meat in a large bowl.
Crack the egg and, using your hands, mix it with the meat.
Mix in the chives, garlic, and tomato paste.
Add the onion powder, butter, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, salt, breadcrumbs, and parmesan, mixing lightly with your hands.
Make into 8 patties, place on a platter, cover, and put into the refrigerator for an hour to cool.
Preheat the grill to medium hot.
Cook the burgers for 4 minutes on each side if the crowd likes them rare, or 6 minutes for medium.
If you would like the cheese melted on the burger, set a slice of cheese on each one and cover it with the top of the bun for the last one minute of cooking.
The lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise can be placed between the bottom of the bun and the burger when finished.
This recipe makes 8 delicious cheeseburgers.
